South Georgia has an unparalleled concentration of wildlife with more than 30 million breeding pairs of seabirds alone. The island is home to the largest colonies of king penguins on the planet. As many as 3.5 million fur seals and half the world's southern elephant seals call the island home. South Georgia is one of the only places where it's possible to see wandering albatrosses on the nest.
